| A cascade reaction catalyzed by NaBF4 was firstly reported for the synthesis of bis(indolyl)methanes starting from indole and aromatic aldehydes in ethanol aqueous solution. The reaction conditions was optimized with catalyst, medium, temperature and reaction time, and a series of bis(indolyl)alkanes were obtained in moderate to good yields under the optimal reaction conditions. |
