The C—N bond as a common chemical bond widely exists in many organic molecules and biomacromolecules. The formation and cleavage of C—N bonds play a crucial role in the process of organic reactions and biochemistry. This review summarizes the cleavage of C—N bonds from transition-metal-catalyzed, strong oxidization, enzyme catalysis, photocatalysis and other methods. Their advantages and disadvantages, reaction mechanism, challenges, development directions were also discussed. |
