| A facile procedure for the catalytic addition of arylboronic acids to aromatic aldehydes was developed using a simple NiCl2(PPh3)2/IPr.HCl system under mild conditions, providing diarylmethanols in high yields. This method is simple and easy to handle, which is an important supplement to the preparation of diaryl methanols. |
