A variety of different signaling mechanisms have been employed to design fluorescent sensors and probes. Among them, the C=N isomerization process has caused great attention. Herein, the progress during the last decades on fluorescent probes for cations, anions and neutral molecules based on C=N mechanism is summarized. The further development tendency of this mechanism is also prospected in the end. |
