| A ‘osmium tetroxide free’ synthesis of meso-tetraphenyl-2,3-dihydroporphyrin-2,3-diol was described, which abandoned the use of expensive and highly toxic osmium tetroxide. The reagents used in the whole synthesis process were inexpensive, and the operation for the synthesis was easy. Both cis- and trans- isomers of target product were obtained via this synthesis. |
