      德鲁.魏斯曼与卡塔林.卡里科因“发现了核苷碱基修饰,从而能够开发出针对COVID-19的有效mRNA疫苗”共同分享了2023年诺贝尔生理学或医学奖。回顾魏斯曼的科研历程,他早早树立了身为免疫学家的社会责任,致力于通过疫苗开发解决人类的健康难题,后与卡里科以契合的精神达成互补的合作,突破了mRNA应用的关键难题,为mRNA药物、COVID-19 mRNA疫苗的开发奠定了基础。魏斯曼的成功引发了我们关于树立坚定科研精神、建立良好科研合作的思考。同时,本次诺贝尔生理学或医学奖的结果,让我们认识到社会的迫切需求对技术进步与推广的重要作用,也引发我们对如何更好地支持科研人员从事基础研究、如何引导企业与相关部门从本次全球人类健康安全事件中探索对新药开发进行资助、监管的思考。
英文摘要:
      The 2023 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded jointly to Katalin Karikó and Drew Weissman "for their discoveries concerning base modifications that enabled the development of effective mRNA vaccines against COVID-19". Looking back on Weismann"s scientific research history, he established his social responsibility as an immunologist early on and was committed to solving human health problems through vaccine development. Later, he and Karikó reached a complementary cooperation in a compatible spirit and broke through the application of mRNA. The key problems laid the foundation for the development of mRNA drugs and COVID-19 mRNA vaccines. Weismann"s success has triggered our thinking about establishing a firm scientific research spirit and establishing good scientific research cooperation. At the same time, the results of this Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine have made us realize the important role that society’s urgent needs play in technological progress and promotion. It has also triggered our understanding of how to better support scientific researchers in basic research and how to guide enterprises and related the department will explore its thoughts on funding and supervising the development of new drugs based on this global human health and safety incident.
