      随着锂离子电池能量密度的不断提升及应用规模的大幅度扩张,与其相关的安全性问题层出不穷,发展更安全的锂离子电池成为目前的研究热点。其中,隔膜作为锂离子电池的重要组成部件对于电池的性能表现起到了重要作用。目前,锂离子电池隔膜主要是由聚烯烃材料制造的,这些隔膜具有不错机械性能及电化学稳定性,但其热稳定性差与电解液润湿性不佳等问题导致其无法满足高性能和更安全的电池系统的要求。相比之下,用聚苯并咪唑(PBI)制备的隔膜具有优异的电解质润湿性和出色的热稳定性,因此作为高性能和高安全性电池的隔膜具有很大的潜力。本文对聚烯烃隔膜的研究背景及锂电池中PBI隔膜的研究进展进行了总结,以促进PBI基材料的持续应用和探索,从而推动高安全性锂电池技术的发展。

      With the continuous improvement of the energy density of lithium-ion batteries and the substantial expansion of the application scale, related safety problems emerge endlessly, and the development of safer lithium-ion batteries has become a current research hotspot. Among them, the diaphragm, as an important component of lithium-ion batteries, plays an important role in the performance of the battery. At present, lithium-ion battery diaphragms are mainly made of polyolefin materials, which have good mechanical properties and electrochemical stability. Still, their poor thermal stability and poor electrolyte wettability lead to their inability to meet the requirements of high-performance and safer battery systems. In contrast, diaphragms prepared with polybenzimidazole (PBI) have excellent electrolyte wettability and excellent thermal stability and therefore have great potential as diaphragms for high-performance and high-safety batteries. This paper summarizes the research background of polyolefin separator and the research progress of PBI separator in lithium batteries, to promote the continuous application and exploration of PBI-based materials, to promote the development of high-safety lithium battery technology.
