可控活性聚合制备颜料超分散剂研究进展

      颜料的分散与稳定,一直是国内外众多专家学者潜心研究的问题。目前商品化的颜料主要是以聚集体形式存在,使用传统自由基聚合产出的无规共聚物做颜料超分散剂,由于不能精确地控制所得聚合物的分子链结构及其相对分子质量分布,从而无法保证满足TFT-LCD高端应用场景对色彩鲜艳度、对比度等方面的要求。可控活性聚合反应中不存在链终止反应以及链转移反应,可以通过改变单体与引发剂的比例以及单体的进料顺序来控制所得聚合物的分子结构和相对分子质量及其分布,制得的分散剂可以使颜料很好地分散在体系中,具有极佳的稳定性。本文综述了可控活性聚合方法,尤其阐述了具有适用性广的ATRP与RAFT这两类聚合方法,在调控超分散剂的分子量大小和分布,实现特定分子结构设计,制备具有良好分散性能的超分散剂的应用研究进展。同时展望针对国内实际应用需求,采取具有工业化应用前景的活性可控聚合方法,自主创新解决高端应用场景的颜料分散问题,以期摆脱对外国进口分散剂的依赖。

      The dispersion and stability of pigments have always been a subject of intensive research by many experts and scholars. The hyperdispersant is generally used in pigment dispersion, which is a class of polymer dispersant. Most of them are prepared by traditional polymerization reaction, that cannot accurately control the molecular chain structure of the obtained polymer and the molecular weight distribution. So, it cannot guarantee to meet the requirements of color brightness, contrast, and other aspects of TFT-LCD high-end application scenarios. There is no chain termination and chain transfer reaction in the living controllable polymerization, so the molecular structure and molecular weight distribution can be controlled by changing the ratio of monomer /initiator and the feeding sequence of monomer. The dispersant prepared can disperse the pigment well and has excellent stability. In this paper, the living controllable polymerization methods, especially ATRP and RAFT are reviewed, and describe the application research progress in regulating the molecular weight and distribution of hyperdispersants, realizing specific molecular structure design, and preparing hyperdispersants with good dispersion properties. At the same time, looking forward to the domestic practical application needs, adopt the living controllable polymerization with industrial application prospects, and independently innovate to solve the pigment dispersion problem in high-end application, in order to get rid of the dependence on foreign imported dispersants.
